Climatic Conditions
Bali has 2 main seasons; the dry season and the wet season. Between the two, it makes the most sense to go on a golf holiday during the dry season which begins in April and lasts until September. In Bali, the temperatures remain pretty much the same throughout the year, ranging between 25ᵒC to 30ᵒC, with only slight variations. The best months are really between June and September because it is quite dry with cool evenings and low humidity levels.
However, it is important to note that there may still be some rainfall in the dry season as well, so it’s important to be ready for just about anything, especially when you’re on a Bali golf holiday. The wet season of Bali runs from October to March, with the worst of it being between the months of December and March. It is during these months that heavy showers are experienced as a result of the west monsoon. The humidity levels also tend to be high, making it difficult to play golf.
Another important information to take note of whilst on your Bali golf holiday is your location. This matters because of the climate differences experienced on the island. If you are in an area that is mountainous, then you can expect more rainfall and cooler temperatures, while coastal areas tend to be warmer and drier.
The mountain temperatures in Bali can come down to 10ᵒC or cooler so make sure to bring a jacket and jumper. However, if you’re not one who enjoys the cold, then you should definitely consider staying in the Bukit Peninsula as this part of Bali tends to get much less rain than anywhere else on the island.
Golf in Bali is a great experience and can easily be combined with a family holiday as well. You can enjoy several rounds of golf in the morning, and then have some family time at the beach in the afternoon. Truly the best of both worlds coming together, making it just the perfect vacation.
