Bali is a land of lush forests, flowing rivers, amazing waterfalls, hot springs and hidden beaches. If you are the adventurous type, you will be delighted to visit the beautiful waterfalls in Bali. Here are some spots you worth visiting:
A 45 minute ride from Handara Resort lies the Sekumpul waterfall. This waterfall is well known, but as it is very difficult to access you will not encounter big crowds. It is made up of 7 waterfalls that are spread around the area, with the tallest one being more than fifty feet high. In order to get to the waterfall, you have to cross a river and go down a long flight of slippery steps. It is not for the faint hearted.
- Banyumala waterfall is a hidden waterfall, but it is a twin wonder. With only 30 minute by car from Handara, you can enjoy a lush green landscape that absorbs the thunderous noise of the cascading water mass. The water pools make for a perfect swimming location and are definitely Instagramable!
- The Nungnung waterfall is located nearby a tiny village 900m above sea level. The water falls some 50 feet down and to reach it 509 steps (yes we counted) lie before you. Here, you can enjoy a swim and relax. Located about 50 minutes from Handara Resort it is not the closest waterfall in the area, but on the way you pass by traditional Hindu Temples, so why not combine culture and nature in one single trip?
- Aling-Aling Waterfall is located some eleven kilometers from Singaraja. The waterfall splits at the very top so that two streams fall thirty-five feet. These falls are unique because the rock has eroded to form a water slide. Here, you can slide down to the pool at the bottom for a swim.
Being located in the center of these attractions, Handara Resort is the perfect base for enjoying day trips to numerous waterfalls and other natural sightseeing attractions. While staying with us, our staff is more than happy to give you recommendations and arrange transportation.
