August 2015 - Handara Golf & Resort Bali held the First Annual Hackers & Slackers Golf Carnivale on 15 August 2015. The main goal of the event was to raise fund for the local children in a fun and unique way. All proceeds are donated to more than 400 children in the Pancasari community in the forms of baby food, milk formula and other goods. Yoga, Fun Golf & Carnival to raise fund for the local Children.
The event started early in the morning with a Yoga session, where the participants practiced the pranayama and asana in the misty refreshing Bedugul air. After Yoga, the serenity of the mountain turned into a lively atmosphere as the golfers started the Fun Tournament. There were different novelty games all through the 18 Holes and the players had many chances to donate to the cause. Around noon things got even more festive when families with kids joined the Carnival. The little ones enjoyed the Bouncy Castle, Fishing and Golf games, and interacting with Mickey and the Minion. And with many different food stalls and vendors, the rest of the family had a nice picnic out in the warm sun.
The Fun-tastic Fund-raising was wrapped up in the closing ceremony, where awards were presented to the games’ champions, prizes were given to the lucky draw winners and all proceeds from the event were donated to the leaders of the community. In Hackers & Slackers Golf Carnival, everybody won! With the smashing success of the first event, Handara Golf & Resort Bali is gearing to make the next event bigger and better. The Second Hackers & Slackers will be held mid-year in 2016.
